The aim CMICT is to allow a series of performances to occur that would
otherwise never occur. These concerts all are challenging and
demanding of the audience, which even in "new music" circles doesn't
always have a warm reception. All concerts presented are
free. Additionally CMICT aims to document all it's
performance via the internet.

Bios:
David Jensenius is currently residing in Brooklyn, New York and
finishing work on his masters degree in music composition at Wesleyan
University working with Anthony Braxton, Neely Bruce, Ron Kuivila, and
Alvin Lucier. His main musical interests lie in compositions using real
or artificial environments to determine what is played by performers or
electronics.
Alan Veniscofsky is best known as a member of the band Rane:
Rane is a five-piece band, half lunatics and half maniacs. They are
Alan (Fr. Noodles Devine), Bowman (World’s Best Great-Grandma),
Dan (The Euphoric One), Kurt (The Filthy Screwdriver), and Bruce
(Random Letters, Numbers,
and
Symbols). They meld the sonic adventurousness of Radiohead, the
eclecticism of Super Furry Animals, the erudite dynamics of
Phish, the innovative approach to the pop song of mid-era XTC’s,
the sophistication of Steely Dan, the fearless structural complexity of
Sonic Youth, the musicality of King Crimson, the atmospherics of
Peter Gabriel, the percussion of Paul Simon, and the ambient
tendencies of Berlin-era Bowie, all with an organic lyrical intensity.
Tom Crean was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1979 where he currently
resides. He attended the Hartt School of Music, where in 2002 he
was awarded a B.M in Music Management with a concentration in Jazz
Guitar. Tom then went on to study at Wesleyan University where he
studied with Anthony Braxton, Ron Kuivila, Alvin Lucier and Neely Bruce
and received a MA in Composition in 2004. Currently he has a
studio of 50 guitar students.
Tom has played a large variety of music as a performer ranging from
rock to jazz to avant-garde. Some of the people he has performed
with include Anthony Braxton, John Sinclair, Craig Shepard, Chris
Dahlgren, Rane, and Kevin O’Neil. As a composer, Tom’s music has
been performed by Anthony Braxton, The Flux String Quartet, Kevin
Norton, Neely Bruce, and The Wesleyan University Orchestra.
Tom’s recent artistic activities include video game development, Mr.
Crean's Guitar Journal Podcast, the recording "4 Maps of Infinite
Possibility" (self released), work with interactive electronics, and
work with Anthony Braxton's Diamond Curtain Wall Musics Trio. As
a member of Mr Braxton's Trio, Tom has toured throughout Europe and is
featured on the release: "Anthony Braxton - Trio (Glasgow) 2005"
(Leo) .
