Podcast Year 6: Public Spaces
Music for the people. I want to bring music to a large audience not a select few. I want to play in new and unique places. I want to interact with the world. So instead of sitting in a room by myself recording my podcast, I’m going to record in public venues.
I will be satisfied wether I am totally ignored or totally adored in this context. I am dissatisfied with the system of concerts put into place by the establishment. While we stimulate each other, we fail to stimulate the world. Even most of the “intellectuals” fail to understand my work correctly. I’m giving up on this concept of being understood, it’s over rated.
Due to weather and other external factors, I obviously can’t do podcasts exclusively in public spaces (my goal is NOT to be arrested.) I have been experimenting with analog tape in my recordings, and I plan on continuing to use it. I really think the tape sounds more alive, which I prefer to digital’s clarity. My goal is to podcast from public places as often as possible.
